Wolfgang Borgmann was the first vocalist and adorned the first three Mekong Delta-albums with his raw and high-pitched voice. During the practice sessions for the fourth album (Dances of Death), it was clear he could not identify himself with the new material and decided to leave the project. It wasn’t until 2019 that he resurfaced in the music scene with a new band, of which he was the co-founder, Mekong Age. Unfortunately, in January of 2023 he passed away after a lengthy sickbed.
