Peter Haas

Peter Haas

Swiss drummer Peter Haas was recruited after Jörg Michael left the project. Peter was very pleased with his position, because he could finally play difficult patterns and with strange timings without having to explain to band members what he was playing. He was Ralf’s first choice for a drummer with comeback album ‘Lurking Fear’ and Peter was willing to return, but the long delay with that album and Peter’s busy schedule unfortunately made this impossible.

BIO:

After initially gaining stage experience as a guitarist and singer, he rediscovered his first love, the drums, as a teenager! Then things took off rapidly with a meteoric career as a metal and rock drummer. Tours with Krokus led to international success with bands such as Kreator, Mekong Delta, Coroner, Poltergeist, Babylon Sad, Calhoun Conquer, Ain’t Dead Yet, Clockwork…

In the mid-1990s, he joined the New Orleans funk band “Hendrix/Cousins,” with whom he continued to tour Europe, including as support for Robert Cray in England. A concert in Bonn with “Ivan Neville and the New Orleans All Stars” was recorded for the German television program Rockpalast and released as a DVD. He also ventured into classical music, playing snare drum in Carmina Burana with the Bülach New Choir. Since then, he has collaborated with artists such as Polo Hofer, Philipp Fankhauser, Max Lässer, Sina, Stern, Funky Brotherhood, the Swiss Jazz Orchestra, LSD-3, Nilsa, Lesley Meguid, My Kungfu, Frank Vetter, and Adrian Stern. He runs his own drum school in Winterthur and teaches at the Wiam and Swiss Music Academy. Every July, he leads a drum camp in Arosa.

Now touring with a solo program that could be described as an anachronistic, musical biography. A journey through moods and images that are intense yet sensitive, constantly transforming.
