Jörg Michael was the drummer for the band Avenger, who later changed their name into Rage. Like Jochen Schröder and Peter “Peavy” Wagner from that same band he was one of the musicians that formed the very first line-up of Mekong Delta. He adopted the name Gordon Perkins and marked the first four albums with his signature drum sound. Just after the release of ‘Dances of Death’ and a couple of first ever live shows, Jörg Michael left the band.
