Alex joined Mekong Delta in 2008, after Mekong Delta (Ralf Hubert) realized that the previous line-up was unable to agree upon the possibility of touring to support the ‘Lurking Fear’-album. Alex is an extremely talented drummer and entrepreneur. Playing with bands like Annihilator, Luca Turilli’s Rhapsody and Axxis he also (co-)started many other musical projects, such as 21 Octayne, Cyhra and Philosophobia. As of 2019 he replaced Jo Nunez as drummer in american power metal band Kamelot. Alex also started the company GemsSessionsJewelry that creates jewelry from a variety of old, discarded and /or unusable instruments. Alex is also the co-founder of the new music streaming service ROKK, dedicated to rock & metal music who’s goal is to pay (metal) musicians what they are truly owed, unlike other streaming services.
